Hatton romped to victory on Sunday at LIV Golf Nashville in Tennessee, shooting a final-round 65 at The Grove for a six-shot win over fellow Englishman Sam Horsfield. Hatton’s win ended a drought that stretched back to the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March 2022 that had the 32-year-old wondering if he’d ever return to the winner’s circle. “Having not won for 31/2 years, you wonder if you’d be able to do it again,” said Hatton, who joined LIV Golf…

Paul Lawrie led by two shots coming into the final day, however, he would drop a shot at the second hole while his playing partner Patrik Sjöland was making birdie. Three further birdies each for the pair of them before the turn would ensure that they headed into the back nine in a share of the lead and setting up a battle coming down the stretch. A double-bogey seven at the tenth…
Jacob Skov Olesen etched his name into the history books at Ballyliffin as he became the first Danish golfer to win The Amateur Championship. The 25-year-old staved off a dogged fightback from the valiant Dominic Clemons in the 36-hole showdown over the Glashedy Links and emerged with a 4&3 victory to put a silver lining on a memorable Championship debut. As well as lifting one of the most prestigious trophies in the amateur game, Olesen’s triumph also earned him an exemption for The 152nd Open at Royal Troon in July, the 2025 US Open and, by tradition, an invitation to…
