For years…ahem DECADES I’ve been receiving press releases from the golf industry for travel, equipment, apparel and everything else you can imagine. Rather than muddying up the posts here with them I decided long ago to build HogWIRE to post all of them there. I did that for probably 10+ years.
I spent a lot of time and money doing it. It ended up as more as a favor to my golf connections in the world and a way I could say “yeah I posted about your widget, or shirt, or golf club…”
Truth is, nobody cared. I spent a bunch of time and money on hosting and domain costs etc and it was pretty much a money and time pit. I tried to automate the emails by just forwarding them and auto-posting them, but even that ended up taking up too much effort and time.
SO, say goodbye to HogWIRE. It was a learning experience.
